About the Event

As we've all seen in the news, it seems that ethical choices are more complex when people are under pressure. We need to understand that while something might be legal, it doesn't mean it's ethical.

We will be discussing the distinctions and points of convergence between ethics, morality, and the law. With particular focus on the tie between law and morality, using jurisprudential theories and Irish based examples to ground the discussion and to aid members in coming to their own viewpoint on what ethics means to them and their company.

You will hear real-world case studies that will give you and your team an eye-opening perspective on a topic that sometimes gets taken for granted. You’ll be surprised at how difficult a seemingly simple ethical choice can be.

Who should attend:

All ACFE members as well as non-members are welcome to attend this event.

Event Format:

This event will kick off with a presentation from Chloe Cass, followed by Elaine Ward sharing real-world case studies. After a short body break, participants will join break-away rooms in which they will be presented with an Ethical Dilemma to discuss and feedback to the main group. The session will end with an opportunity for Q&A.
