About the Event

This training session uncovers Disaster Fraud, and how COVID-19 can create fraud risks. We will look at potential fraud schemes and red flags as well as looking at how organisations can proactively prepare for and minimise the risk of fraud.

Speakers

Roslyn Lee-Symmons 

Ros is an experienced forensic accountant and a Director in Grant Thornton’s Forensic team. She has specialised in the area of forensic accounting, investigations, expert determination and Forensic Data Analytics. Ros has worked on local, national and international forensic accounting assignments in Ireland, UK, the Netherlands and the UAE. She has prepared expert witness reports in large commercial disputes listed in the High Court / Commercial Court and has undertaken forensic investigations for corporates and regulatory bodies.

Sinead O’Neil

Sinead is a member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) and a Board member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Sinead has extensive forensic accounting experience and has been involved in a number of investigations, shareholder and partnership disputes, loss of profits claims and corporate intelligence assignments. Sinead has worked on local, national and international forensic accounting assignments in UK and Ireland and has prepared expert witness reports in large commercial disputes listed in the High Court / Commercial Court.  Sinead has also obtained a specialist qualification from Chartered Accountants Ireland achieving a Diploma in Forensic Accounting. She also has completed a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Accounting at University of Ulster and degree in Economics and Accounting from Queen’s University, Belfast.
